It was a very exciting day with same great races on Friday night at the SWC Championships. Going into the final event, the Lady Bees were in third place behind Avon Lake. The 4 x 400 team had a huge challenge as they needed to gain 8 points more than Avon Lake in that event. It was the race of the night but the Bees managed to pull off a victory (10 pts) in the 4x400 and Avon Lake finished 6th (1 pt) which gave the Lady Bees enough points to pull off the SWC 2nd place finish. There were several PR's and season's best as the girls showed their strength, perseverance, and focus. SWC event champions included Becki Famurewa in the shot put (meet record, tied school record), 4 x 200 (Waugaman, Prendergast, D'Agositno, Thompson), 4 x 400 (Prendergast, D'Agositno, Thompson, Jacofsky), and the 4 x 800 (M. Beaver, Bajaksouzian, Greenlee, and Jacofsky).
