STATE MEET WEEK
Sunday (June 1st): Meet at BBHHS Track at NOON for trip to Sweet Moses. If you reached your Coach G goals or qualified to regionals you are invited!
Monday: Wear your BEES Track & Field gear to school. State Send off will be between 1:30-1:45.
Practice 3:00-4:15
Tuesday: Practice 1:20-2:30
Wednesday: DAY OFF!
5:00 Team Dinner for the State Meet group at Schlabig's.
Thursday: Practice 1:20-2:30. We will leave for State Meet right after practice.

Jesse Owens Stadium is open for Walk Throughs from 4:00-6:00 pm.

All traffic coming to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium for the state track & field meet should use the Ackerman Road exit from State Route 315. There are several high school graduations using the nearby Schottenstein Center at OSU, with that traffic being directed to use the Lane Avenue exit. (For reference, Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium is located at 2450 Fred Taylor Drive, Columbus, but please use the Ackerman Road exit even if coming from south of the stadium.)

The Lady Bees added another BIG win to the season...DISTRICT CHAMPS! It was a close meet at the Bees outscored Stow by 3.5 points. Every second, every inch, every partial point mattered. Way to give that 1 extra degree ladies!

Due to inclement weather, Wed's SWC meet was cancelled and all events moved to Friday.

A 1979 Graduate of
Brecksville/Broadview Heights High School, Ann won the 1st Girl’s State Cross
Country Championship in 1978. Her time of 13:40 is the retired State Meet
Girl’s Record for 2.5 miles. She won two state titles in the mile run and ran
all time state record times in both the mile of 4:43.6 and the 2 mile of 10:14.
Both of these times eclipse current state record times in the 1600 and 3200
meter runs distances that are shorter than the 1 and 2 mile distances run by
Ann. Ann ran a 33:46 10K during her senior year in high school and also set the
15K National Junior Record with a time of 52:07 (that’s three 17:22 5Ks back to
back!). Ann went on to compete at North Carolina State University and helped
them capture the NCAA National Title her freshman year in cross country.
