Brecksville is hoting CYO meets on April 17th and May 8th at BBHHS and need to recruit some workers (about 25). If you need service hours for NHS, now is your chance! Another option might be to get paid ($25?) if you donot need volunteer hours. Either way, please consider helping out the CYO program. The duties include working field events (high jump, long jump, standing long jump, shot put and discus, as well as timing and being exchange zone "officials". You will need to be there from noon to approximately 5:30.

Third times a charm???
Maybe Mother Nature will be nice on Friday and allow us to have our first outdoor meet at Twinsburg! Today's meet with North Royalton had to be cancelled after the 4 x 800 and only a few field events complete as the snow began to fall and the track was buried.

Becki is Indoor State Champion!
The Lady Bees headed down to the University of Akron on Saturday to compete in the Indoor Track & Field State Championships. This was the first time the Lady Bees have competed in the indoor championship. Senior Becki Famurewa captured 1st place in the shot put with her throw of 40" 5.5". Also getting on the podium was the 4x400 relay (Ellen Prendergrast, Allison Labyk, Jasmine Waugaman, and Veronica Thompson). The relay ran 4:05, finishing in 6th place. Other state meet performances included Katie Brumbaugh in the triple jump (15th place) and the 4 x 800 relay finishing 9th place (9:56). The 4x800 relay included Tabitha Jacofsky, Olivia Cook, Libby Roether, and Lauren Greenlee. Congrats on your great performances!

First week of outdoor!!
Reminder this is the first week of official outdoor practice. Practices will be 3:15-5:30. We will have a short team meeting on Monday at 3:15 in the LGI Room. We will continue to use the inside locker rooms until March 21st.
