The 2012 Track and Field season is right around the corner, and it is time to start thinking about the season. Indoor track provides a great opportunity for you to prepare for the outdoor season as well as challenge yourself at some meets (without having to battle the winter elements).

We will begin Winter/Indoor track practice on Monday, December 5, 2011.
Practices will be Mondays & Wednesdays from Dec. 5th- Jan 31st. We will practice additional days beginning in Feb.
Mondays: 3:30-5:00 @ High School
Wednesdays: 3:30-4:45 @ Station Rd Bridge/Towpath *
(check website for alternate location if Towpath conditions are unsafe)
There will be some added practices for pool workouts, lifting and Akron workouts. Check the website/Google calendar for all activities! The calendar is located on the top right of the website….”Calendar of Events”. Athletes are expected to attend activities in RED. Activities in YELLOW are optional but highly encouraged.
Completed physical forms must be on hand before any student is permitted to participate.
NO PHYSICAL/MEDICAL FORM = NO PRACTICE!
Practices will be outside as much as possible so dress for the weather (hats, gloves, pants, etc.) but if it is unsafe to be outside we WILL still have practice but move indoors. Be prepared….we will run in the cold and snow!
Athletes are required to participate in practices and both meets. If for some reason you cannot attend a practice or a meet, you must let Coach Gruskiewicz know in advance. List of indoor meets will be online by December 15th.
