To be eligible for a Varsity award must compete in 7 of the scheduled meets regardless of injury to earn a Varsity Letter. If you do not finish the season, you will not receive any awards that you earn. To earn a Varsity letter, athletes must do ONE of the following:
- Compete in post season meets: Varsity Conference, Districts, Regionals, State Meet.
- Meet any of the performance standards TWO TIMES. You can either meet two standards or meet one standard at least twice during the season. Must be meeting potential as well.
- Special consideration by the coaches. This basically applies to hard-working junior/seniors who have provided service over a long period of time, and other participants who go beyond the call of duty, or have done something special. Coaches reserve the right to make decisions here.
In addition, anyone meeting one of the above criteria MUST also contribute to the Team Cohesiveness, show respect toward coaches and teammates, and follow rules as outlined.
