Every Tuesday in Jan and Feb we will have pool workouts at the Seven Hills Pool from 3:45-5:00.Seven Hills Rec is located near the intersection of Broadview Rd and Hillside Rd. Address is: 7325 Summit View Drive, Seven Hills. Look at a map here.

Wed, Jan 4th: Back to regular time....3:30 at Towpath.

Track Team Sign Up

Akron Track Tuesday Night Workout Series

Sprints, Hurdles, HJ, LJ, PV, SP, DT, WT: Nov. 8, 15, 22, 29 Dec. 6

All Events: Jan. 10, 17, 24 Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28 Mar. 6

Schedule: Registration is from 6:30-7:00 p.m. The clinic will be held from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Cost: $10.00 per session or $100 to attend all 13 sessions

Pole Vault Cost: $15.00 per session or $150.00 for all 13 sessions

**Please note: By purchasing a season pass for the Tuesday Night Workout Series, you will receive a 10 percent discount for the Christmas Break Track and Field Camp.

This workout series is designed to allow athletes to work out in our state-of-the art facility. The following events will be supervised and athletes may receive instruction in the: Pole vault, Sprints, Throws, High Jump, Long Jump and Distance.

The new University of Akron Stile Athletics Field House contains a 300m Mondo six lane track encompassing a 120 yard astroplay turf field. There are two long jump pits, two pole vault pits, two high jump pits, two shot circles and a discus circle.

To participate each athlete must have filled out and signed the waiver.

Winter/Indoor Track begins Monday, December 5th!


The 2012 Track and Field season is right around the corner, and it is time to start thinking about the season. Indoor track provides a great opportunity for you to prepare for the outdoor season as well as challenge yourself at some meets (without having to battle the winter elements).

Let’s BEE ready…BEE fit….BEE the BEST!

We will begin Winter/Indoor track practice on Monday, December 5, 2011.

Practices will be Mondays & Wednesdays from Dec. 5th- Jan 31st. We will practice additional days beginning in Feb.

Mondays: 3:30-5:00 @ High School

Wednesdays: 3:30-4:45 @ Station Rd Bridge/Towpath *

(check website for alternate location if Towpath conditions are unsafe)

There will be some added practices for pool workouts, lifting and Akron workouts. Check the website/Google calendar for all activities! The calendar is located on the top right of the website….”Calendar of Events”. Athletes are expected to attend activities in RED. Activities in YELLOW are optional but highly encouraged.

Completed physical forms must be on hand before any student is permitted to participate.

NO PHYSICAL/MEDICAL FORM = NO PRACTICE!

Practices will be outside as much as possible so dress for the weather (hats, gloves, pants, etc.) but if it is unsafe to be outside we WILL still have practice but move indoors. Be prepared….we will run in the cold and snow!

Athletes are required to participate in practices and both meets. If for some reason you cannot attend a practice or a meet, you must let Coach Gruskiewicz know in advance. List of indoor meets will be online by December 15th.
